Various vitreoretinal surgical and laser approaches can restore, preserve and enhance vision for many eye conditions such as certain types of age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, diabetic vitreous hemorrhage, macular hole, a detached retina, epiretinal membrane and CMV retinitis.

A large variety of conditions can affect the vitreous and retina that lie on the back part of the eye that is not readily visible, such as diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal detachments or tears, macular holes, retinopathy of prematurity, retinoblastoma, uveitis, eye cancer, flashes and floaters

Plastic surgeons perform operations that change the shape or appearance of part of a patient's body. They not only perform cosmetic surgeries such as nose jobs or face lifts, but they also perform reconstructive surgeries for patients who have injuries from a car crash or other accident or for those with birth defects.

Frequently, it is done to treat complications of ischemic heart disease (for example, coronary artery bypass grafting), correct congenital heart disease, or treat valvular heart disease from various causes including endocarditisrheumatic heart disease and atherosclerosis. It also includes heart transplantation. A more subtle complication of neurocognitive deficits attributed to cardiopulmonary bypass is known as post perfusion syndrome, sometimes called "pumphead".

Oncology nurses work in a multi-disciplinary team, in a variety of settings, from the inpatient ward, to the bone marrow transplant unit, through to the community. Oncology nurses often serve as your first line of communication, and help coordinate the many aspects of your care throughout cancer treatment. They may perform a number of duties. An Oncology Nurse provides care for cancer patients and those at risk for getting the disease. Oncology nurses must manage both the symptoms of a patient’s disease and the side effects of various cancer treatments. Nursing course is one of the cornerstones of the health care system. Nurses play an important role in health promotion, prevention strategies, and care of people. The explanation for nursing is particularly conducted through implicit knowledge. We examined that the professional improvement of the nursing carrier in Europe requires an intelligible and well-explained nurse aspect. This certain intent of professional education for nursing does not require the total figure of assumed idea. Registered nurse education the global development needs the acceptance of an experienced status by involving together. This signifies that the appreciations of the demand for a more clearly expressed nursing role are incorporated during work experience. This confirms about the urgency and value of role repetition and interactions with an authorized group as part of the educational procedure. This is the unique courses of medical education which contents both theoretical and practical training provided to nurses for the purpose to prepare them as nursing care professionals. Track 14: Advancements in nursing education:

Nursing is a profession within the health care sector focused on the care of individuals, families, and communities so they may attain, maintain, or recover optimal health and quality of life. Nurse education has undergone a process of diversification towards advanced and specialized credentials; minimally invasive surgery refers to surgical techniques that limit the size of incisions needed and so lessens wound healing time, associated pain and risk of infection. The front-runners of minimally invasive procedures were interventional radiologists. Robotic surgery allows doctors to perform many types of complex procedures with more precision.

Why Dubai?

As new medical facilities and hospitals open up in the UAE, nurses are high in demand in the country. In fact, the demand for medical professionals, which includes nurses, has been consistently going up over the past years and authorities are developing strategies to generate manpower to keep with the growing needs of this sector. The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) announced in December last year that it recruited 531 nurses from various countries such as India, Philippines and Jordan, in order to increase their number in the medical field. Private hospitals such  Mediclinic.

From October 2014, medical licenses have been recognized across the UAE, allowing medical professionals to work in any emirate. From October 2015, health-care professionals can transfer their license from one facility to another without having to wait for the earlier 6 months period. Of Dubai’s 2,900 medical facilities hospitals, clinics and day-care surgery centers, 26 hospitals are private and four are state-run. At least 10 private hospitals are expected to open in the next two years. Dubai’s state hospitals treat all emergency cases, and the government foots the bill regardless of the patient’s ability to pay. 70% of all admissions come through the emergency room. The hospital accident and emergency department admits 160,000 patients a year, equivalent to the top 10% busiest accident and emergency (A&E) facilities in the US.

Statistics which shows Market growth:

The U.S. market for medical robotics and computer-assisted surgical equipment was worth an estimated $648 million in 2008. The market is projected to reach $676 million in 2009 and $1.5 billion by 2014, a CAGR of 17.7%. In terms of surgical applications, orthopedic surgical applications are projected to grow at a CAGR of 42.6% between 2009 and 2014, and are expected to account for 22% of the market by 2014.

The global market for minimally invasive medical devices and equipment reached roughly $15.4 billion in 2014 and is expected to reach $21.5 billion in 2019, registering a CAGR of 6.8% for the period 2014-2019. The technological improvements and changes in health care cost control will cause the demand for medical device sensors to increase at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 3.1% between 2009 and 2014, when it will approach $9 billion. Semiconductor/MEMS sensors will experience a 5% compound annual growth rate (CAGR), from $5 billion in 2009 to an estimated $6.5 billion in 2014. Passive medical device sensors were valued at $1.4 billion in 2009 and are expected to decline in value to $1.3 billion in 2014, a -2% compound annual growth rate (CAGR)

The vacancy rate for Registered Nurses continues to rise and currently stands at 8.5%. A year ago, this stood at 7.2%. Thirty-one percent (28.1%) of hospitals reported a RN vacancy rate of “less than 5%”. This is a 6.2 point drop from 2015 and a 31.4 point decrease from 2012. In 2012, 59.5% of the hospitals indicated a vacancy rate of “less than 5%”. This rightward shift, along with the RN Recruitment Difficulty Index, is a clear indication that the RN labor shortage has returned and is intensifying. The vacancy rate of “Greater than 12.5%” saw the greatest increase to 18.8% of the respondents. Of significant concern is that a third (32.9%) of all hospitals  have a RN vacancy rate higher than 10%. This is up from 4.8% in 2012. As the economy improves, as RNs no longer delay retirement, as RNs reconsider travel nursing, as part time RNs take less shifts and as the demand for RNs increase expect the vacancy rate to further deteriorate. When the labor market tightens, hospitals have historically sought to bridge the gap by utilizing overtime, surgical nurses, agency staff and travel nurses. All of which are costly strategies and can lead to issues with quality, safety, physician satisfaction, employee satisfaction and the patient experience.
