LASIK is a procedure for nearsightedness (myopia), farsightedness (hyperopia) and astigmatism. It has become the procedure of choice for almost all levels of refractive surgery when performed by an expert surgeon. The information contained in the wave front-map guides the laser in customizing the treatment to your individual visual system of the nurse education.

Excimer lasers also can correct astigmatism by smoothing an irregular cornea into a more normal shape in Nurse Education. It is a misconception that LASIK cannot treat astigmatism. All laser vision correction surgeries work by reshaping the cornea, the clear front part of the eye, so that light traveling through it is properly focused onto the retina located in the back of the eye. Nurse Education is the most common procedure for glaucoma drug research when the IOP is no longer controlled by eye drops, pills or laser therapy trabeculoplasties. Surgical Nusing creates a new opening for fluid drainage Nurse practitioners. The refraction of light when it passes from a fast medium to a slow medium bends the light ray toward the normal to the boundary between the two media. During a cornea transplant, an eye surgeon removes a portion of your cornea and replaces it with a new section of cornea from a donor. Vitreoretinal eye surgery includes a group of procedures performed deep inside the eye's interior with lasers or conventional surgical instruments. Surgical Nusing are ophthalmologists who specialize in plastic and reconstructive surgery

Medical-surgical nursing has evolved from an entry-level position to a distinct specialty. It is no longer viewed as a stepping-stone, but is the solid rock and the backbone of every institution. Medical-surgical nurses are the largest group of practicing professionals. It is one of the most demanding nursing specialties. Medical-surgical nurses can manage five to seven patients, plus the ones they have admitted and discharged throughout the day? They make assessments and administer care, treatments, medications, and documentation.

Why Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia?

Kuala Lumpur is a city in the Malaysia, located within the emirate. Surgical nursing in Malaysia began with the arrival of the East India Company where hospitals for the sick were established in Penang and Singapore. These hospitals were run by the Catholic nuns and which were later replaced by the nurses from England.

Nursing practice in the pre-war era in Malaya then was carried out by nurses who received, on the job training, with lectures given by expatriates i.e. by European sisters, matrons and doctors at the hospital level. Each state/straits settlement organized its own nursing services, training and conducted its own examination, resulting in a varying standard from state to state. The emphasis of nursing practice then was the curative aspects of patient care.

Statistics which shows Market growth in importance of research:

Malaysia is a rapidly developing economy in Asia. Malaysia, a middle-income country, has transformed itself since the 1970s from a producer of raw materials into an emerging multi-sector economy. The Government of Malaysia is continuing efforts to boost domestic demand to wean the economy off of its dependence on exports. Nevertheless, exports - particularly of electronics - remain a significant driver of the economy. Incentives include tax exemptions equivalent to 100 per cent of qualifying capital expenditure incurred for a period of five years for the construction of new hospitals or for expansion, modernization or refurbishment of existing hospitals from 2010 to 2014.
Private medical centers in Malaysia are approved and licensed by the Ministry of Health. Most private medical centers have achieved certification for internationally recognized quality standards such as MS ISO 9002 or accreditation by the Malaysian Society for Quality of Health (MSQH).
“The private hospital market size is forecast to grow to close to US$5 million in 2016 at a CAGR of 18 per cent during the period 2011 to 2016 due to the fact that new hospitals are expected to be completed within five years and investments that are being made in new areas like Iskandar Malaysia,” highlighted Bhuller. To note, in 2012, there were 225 private hospitals in Malaysia and the number is expected to increase to 239 by 2018. Asia Pacific will consist of over 2.3 billion people above 65 years of age and the average percentage of people above 65 will rise from 9.8 per cent in 2013 to 11 per cent in 2018 across the region. 68.5 per cent of people will be in the working age of 15 to 64 years.

The urbanization rate is expected to increase at a CAGR of 1.2 per cent between 2013 and 2018 in Asia Pacific. About 2.6 million people are expected to move from rural to urban areas in Malaysia between the same periods.
The DOS conducts various sample surveys and censuses. It has also conducted the Population and Housing Census for the years 1970, 1980 and 1991. The next population and housing census will be carried out in the year 2000. Publications for the surveys and censuses can be purchased from the Department located at Kuala Lumpur.

There had been an increase in the percentage of public facilities providing family health services, and a higher number of new acceptors and new active users of the family planning services. Rates of use or acceptors could not be reported, as there is no available data regarding the denominator, i.e. population (number) in childbearing age who could or would use such services
